Lovely setting in the garden for afternoon tea on a summer day. We had a nice experiene and staff was friendly and welcoming. I wish the tea selection was wider or had more special teas, apart from the usual ones.

I had an afternoon tea yesterday, it was my birthday, I enjoyed every second. The place, the food, the vibes. The staff was a whole another level! They were so nice and accommodating. They changed my table to the ones I wanted even though I didn't ask; they sensed it and this is just how kind, professional and welcoming they were. Also, they made my day special by celebrating my birthday with me— I couldn't be more grateful. It was a good value for my money; I would definitely come back later, and I would highly recommend it.

The Orangery Afternoon Tea Experience was absolutely wonderful. The tea was incredibly delicious, and the sandwiches as well as the scones were of outstanding quality. The atmosphere was lovely, especially sitting in the beautiful garden, which made the whole experience even more special. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. He guided me through the menu and recommended an excellent tea that I really enjoyed. I almost hope not too many people read this review so the tearoom doesn’t get too crowded in the future — but honestly, they truly deserve it.

I almost don't want to leave a review so I can keep this a secret, but this is without doubt the best afternoon tea I've had in London and I've tried several. If you want tea in a calm, refined yet cozy environment with excellent service and truly delicious, high quality food, then this is the place for you. Many of the more touristy options are overpriced, low quality and make you feel like you're on a conveyer belt. The Orangery is the place for a more discerning afternoon tea seeker. If I could give it 6 stars I would!

The Orangery at Number Sixteen is a hidden jewel in South Kensington. Tucked away behind the hotel’s charming facade, it feels like stepping into a secret garden, elegant, intimate and utterly serene. The glass walls open onto a lush, sun-dappled courtyard where every corner seems designed for beauty and calm. The service is graceful and unhurried, with staff who anticipate what you need before you even ask. The afternoon tea is divine, with delicate sandwiches, scones that melt in the mouth, and pastries that are as artful as they are delicious. Each cup of tea is poured with care, and the entire experience feels indulgent without ever being pretentious. Whether you visit for tea, lunch or a quiet glass of wine among the greenery, The Orangery offers a rare kind of tranquillity that lingers long after you leave. A true haven in the heart of London.
